School Introduction
School History
1924/2/26 Tamsui Girls Public School was founded.
1941/4/1 Renamed Tamsui River Elementary School for Girls.
1945 After the day of Taiwan restoration, the school was renamed Wenhua Primary School.
1959 Students increased rapidly so the Tian Sheng Branch was established.
1963 The Tian Sheng Branch was separated from Wenhua.
1968 Renamed Wenhua Elementary School.
2004/3/27 We celebrated the school's 80th Anniversary.
2014/11/29 We celebrated the school's 90th anniversary.
School Badge
The words “Wen hua”in the center of symbol represents “Wenhua Elementary School,”which also means the students here are all well-educated with proper manners. The plum blossom symbolizes compulsory education; the blue triangle shows our school motto—wisdom, mercy and courage. The outer trees represent our school vision—humanism, happiness and creation, as a Chinese saying goes,“ It takes ten years to grow a tree but a hundred years to rear people.”

Nice Educational Atmosphere and Beautiful Campus
Our school is located on Zhengli Street in Tamsui. On the street, there are educational institutes ranging from kindergarten to college, which create a nice learning environment. Our campus is not only beautiful but also rich in learning.

Surrounded by rich cultural heritages within the school district and the combination of community resources, we develop the school-based curriculum—the Passion and Understanding for Our Hometown. It helps students’ affection for the hometown grows, and broadens their world view.

Our school promotes performing arts education. It enhances our teachers’ skills and abilities to integrate performing arts into the curriculum. The charm of performing arts is shown by holding creative carnival in celebration of Children’s Day.

Students are encouraged to read extensively to enhance expression skills. Reading becomes part of their leisure activities.
Promoting Scripture Reading and Cultivating their Moral Sentiments
Through reading scriptures, moral sentiments could be internalized. On holidays, there are parents and children’s scripture reading classes to fulfill the function of social education.
Cooperating with Parents and Teachers for a Wonderful Future
The relationship between parents and teachers is close. Parents actively participate in school affairs. Volunteers are recruited from parents. With the help of communities and parents, we bring children a golden childhood.
